Dimapur, November 12: True to its aim of motivating, nurturing and preparing cadets to the join the defence forces as officers, three cadets of Sainik School Punglwa from Class XII have successfully cleared the 138th NDA and 100th NA (National Defence Academy and Naval Academy) written examination conducted by UPSC in the month of September 2016.
Cadet Kewingam Newmai (Adm No. 339), Cadet Kumar Saurabh (Adm No. 406) and Cadet Suman Kumar (Adm No. 410) successfully qualified the UPSC, NDA written examinations.
The successful Cadets will be undergoing vigorous training at school for their Service Selection Board (SSB) interview under trained psychologist. The interview exercise is mainly a psychological test of the personality quiz of the candidate to gauge his/her potential as a future officer in Indian Armed Forces.
The test conducted by the SSB was aimed at selecting individuals with OLQs (Officer Like Qualities).
Group Captain and Principal of Sainik School Punglwa, Sanjay Gaekwad, and all staff members have congratulated the successful cadets for making the school proud.
