Of all the many things that we hold on strong, I hold unto three very powerful weapons till today. By the Grace of God and the help from so many people I achieved the Gold Medal in the Department of Education, Nagaland University Examination 2021. Prayer, Encouragement and Positive attitude have been the weapons for my success.
Prayer: Prayer has always been my secret weapon. I know without prayer and God I will not be what I am today. Remembering God and seeking His help before starting work has always been a right decision for me. I begin my day with a prayer. I remember starting my college first day with a prayer, I prayed to the almighty God to give me wisdom and ask for his guidance and protection. He answered and showered his choicest blessing upon me. There has not been a day that feels terrible that made me feel like quitting. Instead I yearn for expandingknowledge. The power of prayer of my parents, elders and friends has always help and protected me till date.
I got to build good companions and moments. My teachers showed much love and affection. And I was able to spend the most memorable and quality time. I strongly believe that it is the power of prayer that has put things into right places for me.
Encouragement: The second weapon is the encouragement that makes a person to have confidence and keep moving on. The action of giving someone support, hope and confidence is something that many people failed to realise. Words of encouragement gives people the hope to grow more confident, especially to a student. My classmates and teachers have always been constantly encouraging me and my fellow friends all this time. At times we feel it’s a big pressure but now I realise that, their encouragement has pushed us to this height and success. If I think about my college life now I realise that, right from the beginning of my class, the constant encouragement and support has showed its impact now. My teachers would encourage me unfailingly and simultaneously rectifying errors in me. I was once called out by a teacher by my first name Ashikhrii (Dad’s Name) and was asked a question. The question wasn’t just about what, when or how, but it was ‘why’, which I failed to answer. Than that teacher said, instead of just answering to what, how and when, why don’t we also question as to why it happened. That very sentence left a footprint in my mind and only then I started to go into a deeper study about Why on the topic given or learned.
Encouraging words help individuals in excelling in what he/she is working on. It is always a good choice to encourage a person as it provides hope and confidence that they can achieve something worth. It is important to encourage others and also realise how people encourages you in different times. Students need to realise the encouragement from teachers and parents in order to excel in their studies. Lastly,
Positive attitude: Never forgetting to react on the bright side of life rather than the dark side. Never fail to react positively against failure that set up a stepping stone toward success. My educator once told me “always remember to start your day with one positive thought” and she was right, starting the day with a positive thought is rewarding. To have a positive attitude takes nothing but rewards you with something better to your living life. Whenever I face any obstacles I tell myself there is no achievement without hardships. Instead of cursing at the obstacle, we need to deal with it calmly so that we grow more and learn more. Positive attitude I believe will make the society better and make us better Human beings.
These three characters undoubtedly helped me in achieving what I have achieved today and I hope it helps you in achieving what you dream of. Pray persistently, be encouraged and stay positive. We need to become a better human beings with a positive attitude, with prayer and not forgetting to encourage each other at all times.
