Three Nagaland cricketers and a team physiotherapist join the North East Zone squad for the Duleep Trophy 2026-27

DIMAPUR — Three Nagaland cricketers have been selected to represent the North East Zone in the Duleep Trophy 2026-27, while another player has been named on standby and a Nagaland physiotherapist has been appointed to the zonal team's support staff.
The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) on Friday announced that Jonathan Rongsen, Imliwati Lemtur and Vino G Zhimomi have been included in the North East Zone squad for the prestigious domestic tournament. Hem Bahadur Chetri has been named as a standby player.

The Duleep Trophy 2026-27 is scheduled to be held at the BCCI Centre of Excellence, Bengaluru, from August 23 to September 10.
The association also announced that Mowalong Kichu, physiotherapist of the Nagaland senior men's team, has been appointed as the team physiotherapist for the North East Zone squad.

As part of the preparations for the tournament, the NCA will host the North East Zone pre-tournament preparatory camp from August 8 to 19.
Describing the selections as a proud moment for cricket in the state, the association said the inclusion of the players and support staff reflects their commitment, consistent performances and contribution to the growth of the sport in Nagaland.
The NCA congratulated Jonathan Rongsen, Imliwati Lemtur, Vino G Zhimomi, Hem Bahadur Chetri and Mowalong Kichu, and wished the North East Zone squad success in the upcoming Duleep Trophy campaign.
