Dimapur, June 9: Three Naga youth were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a truck at 6th mile in Dimapur on Fri. June 8 night. The victims were aged 17, 24 and 28 years and their names were not disclosed.
According to traffic police sources, the incident occurred around 10.30 pm. Information about the incident was said to have been received at 10.55 pm. Two of them died on the spot while the third victim who was also grievously injured died on the way and was declared brought dead by the medical team, it was informed.
The police source said that the third victim was already taken to the hospital by some people when they reached the spot after being alerted.
The vehicle, a Datsun Go, in which they were travelling collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction and according to sources, the driver of the truck is absconding. A complaint has been registered in this connection.
