Find Studioz and Seil will be presenting the 1st Northeast Unsung Heroes Red Carpet Social Awards 2019 in Mumbai. A press release from the organisers on Sunday informed that three persons, among other winners, from Nagaland will be awarded.
‘Mumbai will witness the biggest extravaganza of this year where around 32 unsung heroes of 8 states of Northeast India who will be recognized for their silent contribution to the society in the presence of Shri. Bhagat Singh Koshyari, honourable governor of Maharashtra and Shri Kiren Rijiju, honourable minister of State (I/c) Youth Affairs & Sports, and many other sports personality, Bollywood celeb and changemakers of the country,’ the note stated.
‘Founder Rebecca Changkija Sema is quite excited to see her brainchild growing every year we all have a moral obligation to raise one another ,’ the note stated.
‘We have three awardees per state in the field of sports, education, art and culture, entertainment, entrepreneur. From Nagaland there were 16 nominations, the updates stated. The three awardees from Nagaland are Toyi Swuro from Phek who is said to have repaired footwear for poor school children, for free; Rose Longchar from Dimapur, a Nagameses film actress to feature in a Bollywood movie, and have acted also in Nagamese, Nepali and Hindi movies; and Menuodilhou Maurice Üsou from Nerhema village in Kohima, a Taekwondo Black belt 4 degree holder.
He has won 82 medals at both national and international levels, besides representing India at a world championship in Bulgaria, the updates stated.
