DIMAPUR — Thousands of Muslims from Dimapur gathered at the Idgah prayer ground on Golaghat Road on Monday to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha, the festival of sacrifice. The event was organised by the Idgah Committee of Dimapur.
In spite of the drizzle, around 3,000 people attended the morning namaz. The prayer session was led by Maulana Haji Fuzail Ahmed Sb, the Pesh Imam of Idgah Jame Masjid in Dimapur.
A member of the Idgah committee noted a decrease in festival namaz attendance this year, likely due to the inclement weather.
