Tuensang gets its third fuel station with the opening of an Indian Oil Corporation Limited retail outlet.
TUENSANG — Laiket Lembou Oil Pump, an Indian Oil Corporation Limited outlet, was inaugurated in Tuensang on September 7.
President of the Tuensang Village Citizens’ Union N Kaimang attended the programme as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of C Khel, Tuensang village, M K Yangbou, stated that people of the district have faced fuel insufficiency for a long time. He said the inauguration of the fuel station is a positive sign of development, as it will bring accessibility and convenience to people living away from the town centre.
President of Laiket Lembou S Chaba informed that the colony consists of 65 households and requested the service provider to report any untoward incidents within the jurisdiction to the union.
The fuel station will serve as the third in the district. Located around 3 km away from Tuensang town centre, it lies en route to eastern Nagaland districts such as Mon and Longleng. The station will serve as the nearest fuel facility in Tuensang for Tobu town under the Mon district, which is 41 km away, and Longleng district, which is 61 km away.
