Theunuo from Nagaland wins gold at ADCC Thailand Championship

DIMAPUR — Kechavor Theunuo from Nagaland, who represented India at the ADCC Thailand Championship 2023, won gold medal in grappling after defeating Nikita Lomarev of Russia at Ramada Plaza in Phuket, Thailand, on Saturday.

He participated in the championship under the category of Men (+18 years) Intermediate.

The grappler from Nagaland defeated Lomarev in the final match with 3 points and 2 scored by his opponent.

Theunuo, who is from Crosstrain Fight Club, an MMA club based in Delhi, defeated Tyler Hope from Australia with 6-0 points in the semi-final.

Hamza Naceur from Algeria won the bronze medal after a walkover by Tyler Hope.
