Dimapur, June 26 (EMN): Even as the All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has launched a vigorous campaign demanding recall of government teachers ‘attached’ to VIPs, it has also informed that currently there are 90 teachers ‘attached to the directorate, DEO and SDEOs.’
A press release from the union on Tuesday informed that the ‘attached teachers’ have even challenged the state government’s October 31, 2017 order by filing case against the government and the Gauhati High Court has stayed the order.
Per the information provided by the ANCSU, there are 10 teachers deployed at the directorate: 10 at SDEO Kohima; 21 at DEO Dimapur; 12 at SDEO Dimapur; nine at SDEO Pughoboto; four at DEO Zunheboto; five at SDEO Dimapur; six at SDEO Niuland; five at DEO Tuensang; and eight at SDEO Tuensang.
“The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) hereby makes a fervent appeal and warn all the teachers who have filed a case against the school education department to immediately go back to their posted schools and perform their duties as a responsible teacher as directed by the Directorate of School education,” it stated.
While expressing shock at the case filed by the teachers, the union sought to remind ‘those attached teachers unwilling to perform their assigned duties that they may resign on moral grounds.’
