Dimapur, Oct. 4 (EMN): The Department of English St. Xavier College, Jalukie hosted its 2nd Theatrical Day organised by the Department of English on Oct. 1 on the theme “love all, trust few, do wrong to none” where the students entertained the guests and parents through their enactment of Shakespeare’s celebrated play “The merchant of Venice’’.
The programme, which was attended by guests and the parents of the students, was added with more flavour by the music and songs ‘as the guests and audience were taken back to the 16th century world’.
The show, with its thematic and entertaining presentation, brought forth the talents of the students beyond the bookish engagement of their academic learning. The performers, thanks to the comprehensive effort of the department of English, did their best to relive the words and acts of Shakespeare, bringing delight to the audience, stated Rev.
