By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures. Proverbs 24:3,4
Everyone came through a family, belongs to a church and as our relationship with God is so our affection becomes. The church’s worth cannot be compared with anything, for as it is precious in God’s eyes, so are we. It is the place where God’s people gathers to invest in the eternal. The godless may be alien to the church but to the elected it is the power and the wisdom of God. For as the God instituted authority, it is in this place marriages are conducted, even as infants’ are blessed and so it is with funerals. Though these realities touches our hearts, its greatest moments are in ministering God’s word. The three core question asked to Peter was love and with every reply Christ ‘command was to care and to feed his sheep. In this we notice that it was in the third question in which Peter was most hurt and it depicted the depths of his love for Christ. This is the relationship Christ expects from his church and as we represent God’s passion and desires , our commitment must be to holiness.
The people we see in the church are God’s own people and better still are the rare and beautiful treasures. The wisdom we speak of here are in reference to God’s beloved and as valuable as every soul is our love for God’s people must increase. The church was established to secure the elect and to bring judgment on earth. And as its sacred ordination is, the fear of the Lord must be preached in every church. For this to come into being someone had to suffer and for us to be saved someone had to die. And it was Christ who suffered and died for the cause of our salvation. In one of my quote I wrote “ Who crucified Jesus? The sinners. Who opposed Christ? The sinners. This means God’s people can never live in sin.” The truths of it are for us to know the sufferings of Christ and to carry our cross as Christ did. To love and to care are the very foundation of relationship and its worth can only be known by those who are led by the Spirit. The Apostle Paul’s first letter to the Thessalonians states “For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you? Indeed, you are our glory and joy. ( 1st Thessalonians 2:19,20 ) All of this saint’s epistles speaks so much of how much he loved God and God’s church. The Lord desires the devotion to be ‘such as these’ and it shall be our joy and glory to invest in the eternal. God is the owner of even the Church and we are His. The Church of God is our passion.
