[dropcap]I [/dropcap]wonder why? The Nagas are price tag than priceless; Monetary than virtue. I wonder why? Political hailstones promises than fulfill; Gamble away than Serve; Grab than share. I wonder why? Nationalist feared than loved; Nation to perish than to progress; History washed by the shore. I wonder why? Furnished homes than offices; Yearns hefty pay than perform duties; More recruits yet desolate workplaces. I wonder why? Police rush after all done and left; Fire brigade alertwhen the embers are ashes; Municipal visualize roads as parking lots; Sellers right than consumers right. I wonder why? Religion materialistic than spiritualistic; Seek donations unbothered of channels; Mighty, wealthy and learned pulpits than honest souls; Cleansing surroundings while cobwebs domain. I wonder why? Students’ politicsthan knowledge; Teachers’ knowledge than wisdom; Hallucinatory Leaders’ than visionary; Corrupt than account. I wonder why? Nagas’ can’t be like the other creations ofGod; Sun rises in the east and sets in the west dutifully; Seasons comes in its on course faithfully; God created them too. I wonder why? Nagaland is for Christ than Christ is for Nagaland; I still wonder! Mhieneitsilie M. Gwezantsu
