[dropcap]S[/dropcap]ome of the Nagaland Christians lifestyle is worst than pagans. The reason is that, example like Hindus, they fear that their gods or goddesses will kill them so in order to appease their gods they give sacrifice at the same time live a good life and do good works. But the extreme contrast is: Christian’s God is full of love and gave free choice to everyone but the Christians are misusing this precious freedom.
Digging the reality and exposing the fact of the Christian life in the Legislatures, the Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition Act was passed in 1989 and after 25 years Government of Nagaland is going to convene a special session on NLTP Act in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. The Legislatures who are all Christians trying to revoke the Act is simply inviting the wrath of God upon them and to their generation. If Nagaland lifts the NLTP Act then remove the slogan Nagaland for Christ (NFC) as well and declare to the world that Nagaland has become modern Sodom. It is very unfortunate that when the Watchman, Naga Council, Naga Women Hoho, Churches, Bible Colleges, Christian Organizations and civil societies are working so hard to shun social evils in our Naga society because the root cause of all these social unrest is due to liquor which makes many fatherless, widows, the Nagaland Legislatures instead of strengthening the Act are going to debate whether to lift or enforce the Act. As a clergyman our prayer is that Chief Minister of Nagaland must be the first person to acknowledge God and voice out boldly to enforce the NLTP Act 1989 and then follows by all the Legislatures and Bureaucrats. Nagaland will become worst if our leaders are not prepared to fear God and lead their people to a right direction. May the Almighty God intervene in such a time when Nagaland are known throughout the world as a Christian state and my worry is that if our leaders rule under the power of Satan then their subjects will truly live in great confusion and in frustration.Because of the upheaval prevailing scenario public demanded to create more police personnel in the Excise Department but the Chief Minister of Nagaland who is also the Finance Minister says, there is no fund to create 100 posts police personnel in the Excise Department. But learn from others: North Korea spent more on Military and currently there are one million soldiers well equipped and ready for war, so in terms of security and protection the citizen of North Korea are living in quiet safety. Indian Government spent more Money on Military and citizens are living in safety. If the Nagaland Government has a concern and burden for the citizens especially the young boys and girls who are the most victims it is the bound duty of the Government to protect them from deadly liquor by creating more Police battalion and enforcing the prohibition Act strongly in Nagaland and give the solid safety to the citizen of Nagaland. The Government should put this fund
in the budget not only to create 100 posts but rather create more battalions of police personnel and sufficiently guard and control with modern equipments to enforce the NLTP Act of 1989 so that the public witness the safety in this Christian land.
However, both the ruling party leader and the Opposition Leader are in a view to lift the prohibition. The CLP Leader who should speak in favor of the public spoke in contradiction saying, “Why was the Government scared to lift prohibition when the Congress was prepared to shoulder the problem.” The Chief Minister of Nagaland’s responds too was the indirect refusal to enforce NLTP Act of 1989 and pave the way to revoke this Act and make Nagaland modern Sodom. Hence, all the Christians in Nagaland must watch the NLA session which is going to be held shortly within a month where godly and ungodly Legislatures are going to debate on NLTP Act 1989 whether to lift or to enforce. Christians has to pray fervently that God fearing decision shall prevail and all the ungodly motives shall be put to shame whereby with their wise decision the banner of the Nagaland for Christ (NFC) would once again lift up so high that the world would see and give all glory to
our Lord Jesus Christ.
