Mokokchung, Oct. 20 (EMN): The Shuttlers, Chuchuyimpang (B) lifts the coveted Mokokchung Inter-Club badminton Champion 2018 after defeating the mighty Longsa Sporting Club in the final at the Indoor Badminton Stadium in Mokokchung on Sat. Oct. 20.
The winner is decided on seven categories whoever wins four categories is declared the winner. The the Shuttler ‘B’ won the U-13 boys single, U-15 girls single, U-17 boys singles and veterans 45+ men’s doubles in the finals and claimed the championship titles.
The champions walked home with a cash prize of INR 50000 plus shield and certificates while the runners-up received INR 30000 plus certificates. The individual prizes include most promising player-: Female- Imlikumla (The Shuttlers ‘A’) Male- Alichang (Longsa Sporting Club) and the most valuable Player: Taniya Bordoloi (The Shuttlers ‘B’)
Col. KS Kataria, the Commandant of 44 Assam Rifles was the special invitee at the closing function.
