DIMAPUR — Naga Nights is gearing up to host ‘The Last Summer’, a major musical extravaganza scheduled for Sep. 12 at NEZCC, Chümoukedima.
The event promises to showcase a blend of established local artistes and fresh, emerging talents. The announcement was made by Huto I. Assumi, Business Consultant with Naga Nights during a press conference at Viva Complex in Chümoukedima on Wednesday.
Assumi emphasised Nagaland's rich pool of untapped talent, noting that many gifted artistes struggle for recognition due to scarce platforms. "Naga Nights wants to be that catalyst, offering a stage where these talents can flourish and get the appreciation they deserve," he said.

Assumi pointed out that while Nagaland has the Hornbill Festival -- a prominent annual showcase for the state's traditions and culture -- there aren't similar regular events that spotlight local artistic talents in the same way. This gap inspired Naga Nights to organise ‘The Last Summer’ 2025, aiming to provide a dedicated platform for local talents to be explored and celebrated.
Assumi highlighted that Nagaland's Hornbill Festival is a key annual event showcasing the state's rich cultural heritage but noted a lack of regular platforms specifically highlighting local artistic talents. This inspired Naga Nights to bring forth the musical gala, seeking to create a focused space where local artistes can gain visibility and appreciation.
