“Guard my life, for I am devoted to you. You are my God; save your servant who trust in you.”
“Teach me your way, O Lord, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart that I may fear your name.”
“Preserve my life according to your love, and I will obey the statutes of your mouth.”
“I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your love and faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things, your name and your word.”
Every word is sacred and devotion is one such which takes us deeper into faith and stirs us to rise more in the truth. For as we breathe and see all things, we know through whom all tings comes from, and if the feelings within are true so will the response be. The one reason we kneel down to pray is to build up our relationship with God, with each other , not to invite sin but to invite God’s reign in us. This is what it is, as said in the scripture “ For me to live is Christ and to die is gain”, the message of it signifies not a divided heart but faith on fire.
Even as devotion is all about love and faithfulness, the virtues of it are seen in the lives of those who loves God. This may invite different reactions but the truth of God’s word will always testify of what is right and wrong, discerning the true from the false. The joy of the elect cannot be found in sin, in falsehood but only in righteousness and in the way of truth. For as the keys to prosperity also lies in this the wise ones will not only desire but also embrace the wealth which comes from above. The steps of God’s beloved can go not to the right or left but only in the truth of God’s ways. The depths of devotion cannot be measured.
