No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Matthew 6:24
The success we experience in our careers is the result of the decisions we made. If we are jack-of-all-trades we will be masters in none. A person cannot expect success if the quality of his or her work is ordinary. Neither will a man be promoted on the basis of his or her involvement. Life is all about choices. If we pledge to live by the commitments we make, we should strive to live by what we had pledged for. The choices we make now will determine where we spend eternity. We often act like the adulterer who says “ I do love my present lover but I just cannot stop flirting with other men and women. The present crisis we are facing is that our moral values are not only degrading but the sin of adultery is on the rise.
Over the past few years’ dark secrets of many great celebrities had been revealed and it is no surprising that the number of adulterers is increasing. When we were small the desire to achieve and to become some one in life had been our biggest priority. All that we envision was to enjoy a great career and to have a bright future. I should say it is important to dream big but it is also important to make the right decision as far as our spiritual destiny is concerned. We are usually engrossed in our own works that we give less importance to the Word of truth. When we are lost in our sins, the forces of evil restrains us from breaking free from the bondage we are in.
There are many corrupted people who died investing in sin. When we invest in corruption, the result we reap will end up in destruction. The desire to become rich often tempts many to the ways of corruption. It is sad but true. The scripture states that the love of money is the root of all evil. It is no surprising that it has caused people to cheat, kill and murder. There are some who are so crazy about money that it becomes their idol. Even many believers tend to give more importance to their wealth and possessions instead of strengthening their relationship in Christ. The truth is that the more they fall in love with the world, greater will be their punishments.
The same fate awaits those who are still slaves to sin. If we still struggle to make the right decision ,death may come to us when we least expect it. It is not God’s desire that we should perish in humiliation and confusion but He wants us to repent of our sins and turn to Him now. Either we make the right choice now or allow ourselves to become a prisoner of hell. Now is not the time to remain lukewarm and insensitive to the concerns of God. The choice is given unto us to accept the truth or to reject it. It is important that we respond to the final warnings of the Word. If you still want to enjoy the pleasures of sin Satan will take complete control of you. But if you have decided to give your life and live for Jesus, the benefit will be yours. Despise evil and devote your life to God. Serve God and gain the crown of life. Serve Satan and suffer the torments of hell with him. Dear readers my intention here is not to offend you but to warn you of the coming wrath of God’s curse. God loves you so much and He wants you to spend eternity with Him. Decide whom to live for and whom to choose. Forsake evil and pursue righteousness. The hour of decision is now. The signs of destruction are evident. Make the right choice and be secured in salvation. Christ awaits us, let us come to Him in repentance and in humility. Come join our mission and the movement of the Church of Christ.
