December is here! As always there will be a great variety of
emotions that comes up this day and month.
To our kids here, it is a sound of joy, freedom, exams over,
holiday, and for some the first time being with us.
To the cake makers, shopkeepers and pig sellers, an extra
busy season and less sleep, but lots of business.
For many outsiders and visitors: Hornbill Festival is on,
seeing different cultures, people and competitions. Whether we like it or not,
it has become part of our yearly cultural festivals.
For many families, it means seeing each other again after a
long year wait.
Yet to others, it might be a season where they remember
those that are no more with them.
What about you reader? My earnest desire is that whatever
you do, you will remember throughout this whole season the miracle that
happened when God Himself stepped into our earthly realm and wrapped His Spirit
in human flesh to become one of us, forever taking on the shape of a human
body.
To me, it is mind boggling that God the Son Himself choose
to live among us, even though it was a relative short time. Just to show us in
physical form what God the Father’s heart was like. Him saying to us: “You
human beings have not seen me in a physical form. You think I cannot relate to
you and that I am just a distant figure far away from you not realising what it
means to live in a human body in a realm ruled by time, space and distance.
Here is my Son. He will perfectly show you Who I really am. Those of good will
among you all, I desire to have peace toward you and re unite you with Me, your
Heavenly Father. Will you let me? Read my Son’s biography and discover for
yourself it is possible to have peace between you and Me, and just as my Son
choose to glorify me by letting me work through Him through our precious Holy
Spirit, so I can do that through you. Give me a chance and there will be true
peace in and around you. You will become the same peacemaker as my Son was,
while on this earth, restoring those who have gone astray with Us and helping
them to become what we long for them to be.”
When the angels sang “Glory to God in the highest, and on
earth peace, good will toward men”, the word peace here meant not just the one
word “peace” we know. There are 19
different words for peace in Hebrew. In the book of Luke it means “to join,
peace, quietness, rest, set at one again”.
He is not talking here, about the outward peace from
external circumstances, but the inner peace of knowing we are back on track
with Him and united with Him again because we surrendered our will to Him and
joined it with His “good will” towards us.
The greatest miracle that could possibly ever happen to you
is not necessarily your bodily healing, your financial breakthrough, your
marriage being salvaged, your position in society, being saved from what could
have been a bad fall or accident and more. All of that are miracles if they
happen in your life and if there is a positive outcome in that situation. The
greatest miracle though is you being reunited with God Almighty, your Heavenly
Father. You surrendering to the fact that He indeed sent His Son Jesus Christ
to this World, to live, suffer, die, be buried for you but then be gloriously
resurrected for you as well. After your surrender, truly repent, turn around
from that darkness, that sin, that life that you deep in your heart despised
and live the life in pure gratitude for the One that got you out of that
darkness and translated you into His Glorious Light. To bring many others with
you to fulfil their specific purpose for and with Him in this life- and the one
to come.
If you would die tonight or the next few moments, what would
happen to your soul? God is calling out to you and saying: “You are never going
to be alone any more. You never have to be desperate any longer. I am going to
be with you. Just come and surrender your will.”
Put your hand on your heart and say this out loud with all
your heart, strength and will to start off this Christmas season with true
peace in your heart. Speak this out loud to yourself:
“I speak the word today over my sin that it will be broken
that fast. Anything that is an addiction, be it drugs or any other substance or
habit, this is my day for my soul to be set free. It does not matter what
background I am, which church I go to. What matters is my decision to turn
around and be united with Him.
“Dear God, I come to you tonight with all my heavy loads.
Forgive my sins Lord. I thank you for coming into this world for giving your
life and for shedding your blood, that I might know the power of sins forgiven.
I surrender my life to you. I surrender my life, my future, everything to you.
I receive You now into my life to rule, to reign, to guide, to direct my life,
now and forever more.”
Put your hands up and give Him praise. It is DONE!
Find a community of spirit filled believers, to connect with
you this Christmas season to guide you into a life you will not regret.
Go into this season with His peace, spreading that and being
a light to those who need Him so much because of the darkness they sit in! With
your presence, bring His and joy! And remember spending time with people is a
much forgotten gift, but a much appreciated one.
Peace and good will toward you from Him, your heavenly
Father.
