DIMAPUR — The Electric Cool Kid has announced their Northeast India tour, ‘This Is Not Pop!’, scheduled to begin from Feb. 1.
An update issued on Friday informed that the band would be performing at key cities, cultural hubs, and festival spaces across the region.
The tour follows the band’s recent EP release and is envisioned as a ground-level, community-driven run, prioritising intimate venues and regional festival audiences over conventional circuits.

Rooted in direct engagement, the tour reflects the band’s ongoing commitment to independent music spaces and grassroots cultural exchange, the update informed.
Covering multiple cities across Northeast, ‘This Is Not Pop!’ aims to spotlight the region’s growing independent music ecosystem, while fostering meaningful connections with local communities, artistes, and cultural collectives.
Supported by a network of tour partners, creative collaborators, and community allies, ‘This Is Not Pop!’ is said to be both a statement and an invitation, a reaffirmation of live music as a shared, physical experience, and a celebration of the Northeast’s distinct creative voice.
