The Sun still shines on all men below,
On those who reap, on those who sow;
On hearts that love, on hearts that stray,
HE gives His light to everyone, every day.
The rain descends on fields and plain,
On the just and unjust, loss and gain;
It falls where faith and doubt reside,
A rare gift no human hand can divide.
Air we breathe knows no chosen few,
It fills the lungs of the false and true.
The righteous pray, the wicked roam-
Yet both draw breath by grace alone.
God’s goodness walks where feet divide,
Beside the saint, with the one who hides.
To the saved and unsaved, near and far,
His kindness shines like a constant star.
Oh gracious God, so rich and so wide,
Your kindness flows like endless tide;
Till hearts awaken, and eyes behold
The saving grace Your love foretold.
