The Classic Rock Show to perform at HMF grand finale
One of the noted cover bands in the world today, The Classic Rock Show from Liverpool will be performing during the grand finale of the Hornbill Music Festival on December 10 at the Agri Expo in Dimapur.
Speaking to media persons during a press conference at Niathu Resort, the seven-member band spoke about the excitement and enthusiasm that Nagas possess when it comes to music, especially classic rock.
The band was formed in the year 2010. One of the members said that it was because of their love for music for which the band got together and never looked back. When queried about how they heard about the Hornbill Festival, a member informed that their bassist had already played in 2015 at the festival and had heard great reviews about it.
This will be the band’s first time in India where they will be belting out 18 cover songs from the likes of Queen, Led Zeppelin, and AC/DC among others. Being fans of the genre, the bassist urged Naga musicians to keep listening to old bands and get inspired by their music.
“Music brings people together and that’s what really inspires us as a band also,” said a member.
The band informed that at the moment 13 members including the crew is in Dimapur. “Our band consists of 7-10 artists usually and depends on who is available for shows,” said a member.
