DIMAPUR — Tetso College kicked off its first ‘Impact Lecture’ series, funded by the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education through the Innovation, Incubation, and Intellectual Property Rights Cell at Tetso College, on Wednesday.

According to a press release, themed "Synergy of creativity and innovation: exploring design thinking, entrepreneurship, and intellectual property rights," the keynote speaker was Keneirienuo T Zatsu, Deputy Director of Industries and Commerce and leader of the State Startup Team.

The event also featured resource persons Yanpvuo Kikon, an entrepreneur and technology consultant, and Rishav Sethi, CEO of the Nationalist Institute of Technology and Innovation.

Speaking on the occasion, Zatsu shared thoughts on enabling startups through incubation and seed funding, congratulating the college for successfully organising the event. She also emphasised the significance of the startup ecosystem for the development of Nagaland and the north-east.

Kikon discussed governance, drawing comparisons with some developed countries, as well as the world of entrepreneurship and its importance in the development of the national economy. Meanwhile, Sethi elaborated on intellectual property rights (IPR) for new businesses, explaining various types of IPR and raising awareness of their importance in conducting business.

Abel Seb Rengma and Therali Rebecca presided over the event.
