Dimapur, Dec. 20 (EMN): 164 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) (Home & Hearth) NAGA has announced to conduct recruitment rally from February 20 to 23 at public ground, Tuensang town for soldier (general duty) and clerk (staff duty).
Candidates are advised to report at 6 am on February 20 at public ground for screening test. A defence release stated that a candidate should be between 18 to 42 years on the day of screening with minimum weight 50 kg, height 160 cms and chest 77 Cms (expansion of 5 cms).
The required education qualification for soldier (general duty) is Class X passed with 45% marks with minimum 33% marks in each subject. For clerk (staff duty) candidates should be 10+2 passed with minimum 60% marks with 50% marks in each subject. It added that persons with tattoos visible in physical training dress would not be eligible and must be indigenous Naga tribes of Nagaland state.
It stated that candidates should be in possession of original and photocopy of education certificates, domicile residential certificate in original (issued by DC/ADC), original birth certificate, tribe certificate and 20 copies of passport size coloured photographs.
Candidates are also required to bring latest character certificate from nearest police station, Aadhar card/ PAN card, No objection certificate from civil/ government employer. Unmarried candidates below 21 years of age are required to produce unmarried certificate from village administration with official seal.
