- DIMAPUR — The
Terogvunyu Village Community Hall was inaugurated by Zhaleo Rio, Advisor for
the Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, as the special guest, and Jwenga
Seb, chairman, DPDB Tseminyu, as the guest of honour on February 19 in Tseminyu
district.
- According to an update, the hall is the fulfilment of the
villagers' aspiration to have their own state-of-the-art community hall. It was
built under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme,
Tseminyu RD Block, with support from the villagers.
- Speaking on the occasion, Rio lauded the RD Department for
the support provided and encouraged other villages to follow its example and
make government projects successful.
- Seb, while lauding the village council for the exemplary work
done, also urged the gathering to cooperate with the government in development
efforts to uplift not only Tseminyu district but Nagaland as a whole.
- Zenhilo Semp, VDB Secretary, presented the report on the
building construction. Rohit Singh, DC Tseminyu, appreciated the village for
the successful completion of the community hall.
