DIMAPUR — The Tenyiphe-1 Village Council has informed the general public that any sale of land within Tenyiphe-1 Village must be brought to the attention of the village council.
According to a press release, this decision was part of several resolutions unanimously passed during a recent executive meeting of the council.
Furthermore, the council cautioned the general public against encroaching on village roadways and the village nullah/drainage system. Additionally, the council prohibited the sale of encroached village roads or village drainage along with any land.
It stated that if anyone defies the directives and acts against them, the council will demolish all/any construction on the public road or public drainage system acquired through encroachment.
The council also appealed to the general public to cooperate and adhere to these directives to prevent any future misunderstandings or conflicts. It emphasised that these resolutions were adopted to ensure that developmental works carried out in the future by the village council are not hindered or stalled due to the issue of encroachment.
