Dimapur, May 31 (EMN): ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun, Medziphema on May 30 distributed the Institute Tribal Sub-Pan (TSP) materials to the mithun farming community of Machi village and mithun herdsman of Khoibu village under Tengnoupal district of Manipur.
The distribution programme was organised by scientist ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Dr. Sapunii S Hanah along with the staff of Central Agricultural University (CAU) Imphal, Apunba Imagi Machasing Manipur (AIM) and former Manipur Minister Morung Mukunga.
Materials including barbed wire (fencing) aluminium sheet (housing/shelter), rain coat, gumboot and travis were distributed to farmers the development of mithun husbandry.
On February 4, the Institute also conducted Mithun mela-cum-technology awareness programme in collaboration with Central Agricultural University (CAU), Imphal, Apunba (Magi Machasing Manipur (AIM) and village authority of Bungtung See Kung of Machi village.
