Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): A four-day national-level technical festival “Techaura” organised by the School of Engineering and Technology, Nagaland University, on the theme ‘Cybernetic Vision’ concluded on November 1.
From competitive gaming to mind boggling inventions and spine chilling music were witnessed during the festival an update from the university stated on Friday.
The update added that students have learned important life skills of teamwork and collaboration, goal setting and time management, trust and responsibility by organising the Techaura fest. The event brought together many talents from different schools and colleges who have displayed their creativity.
Closing ceremony was graced by Prof. Themrichon Tuithung, HoD of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT, Nagaland.
“The platform that Techaura gives is really an opportunity for our young talents that is blooming around within the city,” she said.
After the closing ceremony, students had an interaction with Arun Thadhaagath and Gade Ramana Reddy. Arun is an environmental activist who have travelled to seven countries on a cycle and Gade Ramana Reddy is a guntur cyclist who have travelled 450 km in just 25 days covering nine states spreading message of banning plastic use and re-using old plastic bag to save the environment.
Arun commented that “The only way to mitigate global warming is to return to nature.”
Talikaba Longkumer from Unity College and K Nilotoli Chishi from Liz Woodland School were crowned Mr and Miss Techaura 2019, while Jentysangla Changkiri from Unity College won the Voice of Techaura 2019 title.
