Kohima, Nov. 25 (EMN): Team Stallion defeated Team Golden Eagles 56-34 in the final match to emerge as the champions of the first Winter Basketball Tournament in men’s category organised by the Vision Trinity Charity Club at New Reserve Police Court, in Kohima on Sun. Nov. 25.
The champions Stallion received a cash prize of INR 15, 000 while the runners-up Golden Eagles received INR 8,000.
Khriebeilie Sorhie of Stallion was awarded the MVP and received a cash prize of INR 3000.
In women's category, Team Artimis defeated St. Joseph College in the final match to take the title. Team Artimis recieved a cash prize of INR 6000.
A total of 14 teams participated in the tournament, an update from the president president VTCC Nunese Sale stated on Sunday.
