Team Puliebadze win Kohima’s SPANDAN Taekwondo Tournament with 32 points, ahead of Team Dzükou and Team Dzüleke
DIMAPUR — Team Puliebadze won the Kohima district-level SPANDAN Taekwondo Tournament 2026, finishing atop the standings with 32 points at IG Stadium, Kohima, on Friday.
Team Dzükou finished runners-up with 24 points, followed by Team Dzüleke in third place with 22 points. Team Japfü finished fourth with 18 points.
The two-day tournament, held from October 15 to 16, was organised by the Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA) with sponsorship from the state Department of Youth Resources and Sports.
Athletes competed across eight weight categories, representing four teams named after places in the district — Puliebadze, Japfü, Dzüleke and Dzükou.
The tournament aimed to promote taekwondo at the grassroots level and identify promising young athletes. It also provided participants with an opportunity to gain competitive experience and develop their skills.
NTA president Master Pele Khezhie thanked the department for supporting the initiative and its efforts to promote taekwondo and youth sports in Nagaland.
