
Kohima, May 21 (EMN): Team Nagaland won a total of 14 medals in the 3rd National Arm Wrestling Championship, which was held in Bengaluru from May 18 to the 21st.
Eight athletes representing Team Nagaland competed in the event and all won medals, including eight gold, five silver and one bronze.
Neli Dominic (63kg) won two gold medals in both the left-handed and right-handed competition in the senior category.
Vethozo Lohe (78kg) won four gold medals in the youth and senior category for both left-handed and right-handed.
Avilie Zuyie (86 kg) won gold for right-handed and silver for left-handed in the youth category.

Abhishek Pradhan won a gold medal in the youth open weight while Kuvemuri Ringa (70 kg) won bronze medal in the senior category for left-handed category.
Thangboilal Saum (78 kg) won silver in junior category for left- handed and George Mero (63 kg) also won silver in juniors for left-hand competition.
Over 200 athletes and officials from across the country took part in the championship, which was organized by the Board of Control for Armwrestling India and officially hosted by the Karnataka State Armwrestling Association at Ramee Guestline Resort, Bengaluru.
The team thanked entrepreneur Yanpvou Kikon for contributing towards the team's registration to participate in the event as well as to The Home Gym for providing uniform (t-shirts) for team Nagaland.
