Dimapur, Aug. 30 (EMN): Team Metamorphosis and a Wokha-based musical band ‘Diversity’ have jointly handed over 5 KVA generator and an electric back-up inverter set to the Christian Medical Centre (CMC) at Vankhosung, Wokha town.
Since 2016, Diversity band and Team Metamorphosis have been collaboratively raising funds through concerts for social cause. Profit from the concert in 2016 was handed over to the Lotha Eloe Hoho which was utilised to give shelter to the destitute. In 2017, the profit was channelled through the same to the two orphanages in Wokha town, stated Thungdemo Kyong, pro-chair on Team Metamorphosis in an update.
This year, Team Metamorphosis decided to extend assistance to CMC authorities, which took over the centre through an MoU from the Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA) after a gap of nine years. The fund was raised through a concert held on August 15 at Wokha Town Hall Wokha.
The band Diversity, one of the most prominent bands in the district, was led by Lipvuthung Ezung, while another band ‘Old is gold’ was led by Khyopen Tsopoe, an assistant professor in the department of English at the Mt. Tiyi College, Wokha.
Meanwhile, Team Metamorphosis has acknowledged the generous contributions of the sponsors, Lotha Officers’ Association, district administration, Wokha Police, and media houses.
