The All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA) has lauded the education department undertaking a verification of schools to ascertain the number of school institutions in Nagaland. The ANSTA issued a press release on Thursday, December 10,
The department of School Education had taken a massive exercise to verify “the actual existence of Govt. schools under particular areas” and “ascertain the actual position of how many Govt. schools are actually existed under a particular district and sub-division.”
According to the association, the present exercise is “for cleaning the department.”
“…the association extends its appreciation to the department for its cleaning venture. Since the department is riddled with problems of various natures, the association urge upon the esteem authorities to leave no stone unturned while carrying out its verification drive even though it may be a challenging and strenuous exercise,” the press release stated.
The organization also urged field officers and staff members to cooperate with the departmental authorities “in furnishing the actual facts and figures of information of the respective establishments as directed by higher ups so that the objectives of the exercise could be fulfilled.”
The group said to stand for “proper streamlining/cleaning the mess of the department for each overall improvement…” and expressed their willingness to “extend all possible help as and when required by the concerned department in the present exercise.”
