Dimapur, Sep. 25 (EMN): Excel Naga, DEF Tuensang, Khiamniungan Sports Council and Pisgah United won their respective quarter-final matches at the on-going Tuensang District Football Association (TDFA) Cup at the parade ground in Tuensang on Tue. Sep. 25.
In the first quarter-final match, Excel Naga defeated 40th Assam Rifles 2-1 through Bei and Akiu in the 19th and 60th minutes. 40th Assam Rifles reduced the deficit to one goal through L.R. Hmar in the 22nd minute.
In the second quarter-final match, DEF Tuensang thrashed Oziepik FC 3-2 through Pongji and Natoba in the 25th, 26th, and 59th minute. Oziepik FC managed to score 2 goals through Thaming L. Chai and Pule in the 36th and 41st minute.
The third quarter-final match was won 1-0 by Khiamniungan Sports Council against Donching Yangmai. The lone goal was scored by Longkhoi in the second half of the match. In the last quarter-final match, Pisgah United beat Vitao Ayie FC 3-1. The goals for Pisgah United were scored by Beshang , Imlong, and Kelep. The lone goal for Vitao Ayie FC was scored by Pushing in the 13th minute.
TDFA launch Vphonenet intercom referees headphones
The first ever Vphonenet intercom referees headphones was launched during the TDFA Cup, at the parade ground in Tuensang on Tuesday.
According to the organiser, the intercom was used for the first time where the headphones was also put on trial and tested during the match which was successful.
The headphones will be continued till the final match for better, fair and efficient judgment of the referees.
