Dimapur, Oct 26 (EMN): With a view to complete the TDS registration process for all the government departments by November 15, the Department of State Taxes has launched special TDS registration services by nominating the nodal officers from each Districts State Taxes offices with immediate effect.
In the regard, Commissioner of Taxes Y Mhathung Murry has requested all DDOs from the Central and State government departments and establishments, local authorities and governmental agencies in the State, who makes an agreement or contract for supply of taxable goods or services including works contract and makes payment for such supplies of goods and services, to contact the nodal officers of the concerned district for any assistance relating to TDS registration under the Nagaland Goods and Service Tax Act, 2017.
He further informed that departments could also visit any of the District State Taxes Offices during office working hours with the required documents (PAN or TAN of the department, PAN and photo of the DDO and an authorisation letter from the HoD)) and get it registered from the nodal officers.
The overall exercise of the special registration services would be supervised by Wochamo Odyou, Additional Commissioner of State Taxes.
