DIMAPUR — The newly constructed flat-type staff quarters at Taxes Colony in Dimapur was inaugurated by the advisor of Taxes and Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD), Kudecho Khamo, on Friday.
A DIPR report stated that the event marked a significant milestone in the government’s commitment to improving the welfare and living conditions of its employees.

He further emphasised the government’s efforts to enhance tax administration through infrastructure development and mentioned about the newly inaugurated quarters and ongoing projects such as the Directorate Office in Dimapur and facilities in Kohima, Phek and Noklak.

The facility also features parking for 20 vehicles, a passenger lift, ramps for accessibility, a deep borewell and an underground water tank with a capacity of 1 lakh litre.
The project was completed in two phases at a total cost of INR 9.15 crore. Phase 1 (INR 4.73 crore) which included the basement, ground floor and first floor commenced in March 2020 and was completed in August 2022, seven months ahead of schedule.
