Dimapur, June 1 (EMN): Water drinking facility and solar street lights was inaugurated at Thahekhu village on Tuesday by Dipankar Ray, executive director of Indian Oil, Assam Oil Division (IO-AOD), Guwahati. The projects were carried out under the corporate social responsibility of the Indian Oil Corporation.
Speaking at the programme, Ray said even as the company constructs various projects for the people, the company thanks the community for providing the opportunity to carry out their corporate social responsibility.
He said the adoption of Thahekhu village meant that the company would continue to carry out similar projects in the village.
Parliamentary Secretary for Economics & Statistics, Tovihoto Ayemi thanked the Indian Oil Corporation for carrying out the projects in the village and was hopeful of more projects in the future.
Head GB Thahekhu Village, Hukiye Yeptho also thanked the company for implementing the projects and added that the village will continue to be grateful to the Indian Oil Corporation for the initiative.
A host of officials from Indian Oil Corporation; ex-Minister, Hewoto Awomi; village leaders and elders attended the inaugural programme.
