DIMAPUR — The Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), Nagaland, on Wednesday observed World Art Day at Toyota Ki, Kisama, with chairman Theja Meru urging young artists to pursue their craft with discipline, creativity and commitment.
Addressing participants at the inaugural programme, Meru stressed the importance of nurturing artistic expression among the youth, describing art as a medium of self-expression as well as a tool for cultural preservation and storytelling.
He encouraged young artists to remain committed to their practice and to explore their unique artistic identities, while also experimenting with different forms and drawing inspiration from their roots and surroundings.

Highlighting the role of discipline and perseverance, he said consistent practice and passion are essential for growth in any artistic journey.
Meru also reaffirmed TaFMA’s commitment to providing platforms and opportunities for emerging talents to showcase their work and gain wider recognition.
The programme brought together young and aspiring artists from various schools across the state and featured interactive sessions and creative displays by students.
