T20 WCC: EYL, Tritons CC in semi-final

EYL and Tritons CC registered wins at the ongoing 24th edition of the T20 WCC on Thursday at Local Ground Wokha.

Hurricane CC elected to bat first after winning the toss and put up a target of 111 runs in 20 overs with Chonben Ezung scoring 23 runs, Renchio Odyuo 20 and Renben Murry 12.

Chasing the low total, EYL’s batsmen made the chase looked easy and reached the target in just 19 overs. Abel Shitiri (32 runs not out) and Nchumthung Ngullie (21 runs) were the main contributors for the team.

Nchumthung Ngullie, who scored 21 runs and claimed two-wickets, was declared Man of the match.

In the second match of the day, Tritons CC decided to bat first after winning the toss and set a huge target of 195 runs for GAPYOCC.

Bikran Rawat scored 115 runs in 59 deliveries and Bitese contributed 29 runs to help Tritons CC score 194 runs in 20 overs for loss of five wickets.

GAPYOCC were all out in 15.3 overs, thus conceding a humiliating to Tritons CC by 128 runs.

Rawat was adjudged as Man of the match for his century knock.
