Dimapur, Jan. 14 (EMN): Phokhungri Area Sports Organisation (PASO) organised the first swimming competition at Shilloi Lake commemorating its golden jubilee. The competition was hosted by Phokhungri village under Phek district.
One week of sports programme including various activities such as football, volleyball, badminton, athletics etc were organised for both men and women.
Dr. Andrew Ahoto Sema, president of National People’s Party, Nagaland unit, was the special guest for the swimming competition programme on January 11, an update informed.
He urged the youths to take cognition about sports, skills and true leadership with integrity. He also mentioned that the “road has become deplorable and pathetic compared to when he had visited last 17 years back”. He emphasised that “development should not have any hue or bias approach, but should reach out to every nook and corner irrespective of areas which may fall under ruling or opposition party”.
“Development should be the prime focus in every leaders mind and it should stand above personal interest,’ he added.
