Dimapur, August 31 (EMN): Soil and Water Conservation Department has organised a farewell programme in honour of its outgoing Additional Director and Head of Department, E James Lotha, in its Directorate conference hall on August 31.
E James Lotha thanked God for the manifold blessings and likened the day of his retirement to winning the ‘crown of victory.’ The outgoing HOD also recounted the days of his childhood and how God raised him up from a humble background.
He encouraged the junior officers to develop work culture and not to run after riches. He also encouraged the officers and staff of the department to cooperate and march ahead with humility and hard work.
The programme was chaired by Viliehu Nguzhu, Joint Director, while scripture reading and invocation prayer was led by Chubalila, Superintendent, and a special song was presented by Thejasetuo Alex Solo and friends.
Bio data of the outgoing officers was read out by Zaseveito, Superintendent. , and short speeches were delivered by Lily Tep, DSCO, Tuensang, on behalf of outpost officers and staff; and SN Singh, Additional Director and incoming HOD. The vote of thanks was proposed by Kevingutso Rutsa, Joint Director.
