Swachhata Hi Seva campaign with a cleanliness drive was organised at Officers’ Hill Colony in Kohima.

DIMAPUR — The Press Information Bureau (PIB) and Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Kohima, in collaboration with the Councillor of Kohima Municipal Council Ward No. 10, organised Swachhata Hi Seva (Ek Din Ek Ghanta Ek Saath) with a cleanliness drive at Officers’ Hill Colony, Kohima, on Thursday.
Kevinei-ü Sekhose, councillor of Ward 10, flagged off the campaign and highlighted the objectives and importance of the Swachhata Hi Seva initiative, according to an update.
She said maintaining clean surroundings in the colony was important for attaining a holistic, healthy and positive environment. She also thanked the PIB and CBC under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for collaborating with the colony volunteers during the drive.

K Sonikumar Singh, assistant director, PIB, expressed gratitude to Sekhose for her initiative in organising the cleanliness drive, saying it was a clear expression of her concern and care for the colony and its citizens.
Lauding Kevinei-ü’s commitment towards her constituency, he expressed hope that under her leadership, the constituency members would benefit in every aspect of development and welfare initiatives of the government.
Before the start of the campaign, Singh and P Sophie, head of office, CBC, handed over dustbins, brooms, hand gloves, plastic garbage bags and other cleaning materials to the councillor.
