DIMAPUR — The GPRN/NSCN (Naga Unification) under President Gen. (Retd.) MB Neokpao Konyak and Ato Kilonser Alezo Venuh, has announced that the word “surrender” can never be found in the dictionary of the Nagas.
The GPRN/NSCN (Naga Unification) was reacting to “Indian agencies” and a handful of “unpatriotic or seditious Nagas” who, the group alleged, have been tirelessly working to sabotage and derail the hard-earned peace and harmony achieved between the GoI and the Naga people in the form of the Agreed Position.
“Since the inception of the Naga revolutionary movement until today, not a single Naga patriot—whether from the civil set-up or the military wing—has ever laid down their spirit of nationalism at the feet of the adversary.

“The Naga patriots would rather choose the freedom of listening to the whistling winds of their countryside, the chirping of birds, and take pleasure in the serene beauty of their mountains than enjoy the so-called luxurious amenities of Indian resorts bound by regulated terms and conditions,” the group asserted in a press release.
It also clarified that the GPRN/NSCN (Naga Unification), or any other revolutionary organisations, never allots army number to civil workers.
It went on to state that the viral news circulating on social media regarding the alleged surrender of two Naga youths at Zunheboto Police Station, identified as Puhovi of Imulo village, Raju Peyu (Army No. 20892) and Inalho of Litsami village (Army No. 20058), are totally baseless and unfounded.
“Whether or not they are affiliated to any other factions could not be confirmed; however, there is no record of enrolment of the aforementioned names in the history of the Naga Army, GPRN/NSCN.
“Therefore, the GPRN/NSCN (Naga Unification) sternly warns that any deliberate attempt to tarnish its image, or any effort to sabotage the prevailing peace and harmony with malicious intent, will under no circumstances be tolerated in future and will inevitably invite serious consequences,” the group cautioned.
