There are so many things that we want and there are so many things that we want to do in life. There are many who are zealous for God but had been failing in all fronts as far as the ways of the spiritual are concerned. Not being able to do what we want to do can be the most frustration moments we face. Even if a man or woman is passionate for the Lord, their inner desire can never be fulfilled unless they do the things God requires of them. Apart from what we are (believers), seldom do we ask things of the spiritual. It can mean a lot of things and can be expressed in a variety of ways. We are never contented with simple things and neither do we ask for great and mighty things.How can we call ourselves passionate when we are easily discouraged? How can we say that we are zealous for God when we don’t truly live in the Lord. Mediocrity has to be done away with if we truly want to walk with the Lord. It’s a challenge which is worth undertaking. Often we live just to survive and we pray just to make ourselves feel justified. Being in the ministry people expects so many things from us and when we don’t live up to their expectations that’s when they start losing faith in our capabilities. Inspite of the yearning for supernatural things many are not bold enough to take up the challenge. I do admit that I struggled in this front when I was first inducted in the ministry. Either I was too timid or lazy to make my petitions known to the Lord. Outwardly I desired for supernatural revelations but inwardly I remained as I was. I didn’t make my desires known to Him as a result I didn’t progress. On the contrary I faltered.
But the moment the spirit started working in me I started seeing life from a different perspective. My attitude changed. My approach changed. And my way of life became more radical. All that we have to do is believe that we will receive what we ask for. The Word promises us that it will give us the desires of our heart if we ask believing that we will receive. We don’t pray for change because we don’t desire change in our spirituality.
If we truly had a desire for supernatural thing, our minds would be focused on the ways of the Word. We have to be willing to take the leap of faith.
The way He molded and trained Jeremiah and used him in a mighty way, He will also use you to fulfill His purpose for you. Things will come our way when our minds are set on the things above. The ways of the supernatural are revealed only to those who are spiritually inclined. Unless we ask for the things we desire, the things we desire will never come our way. The Word assures us of His promises if we call unto him and seek His face. A promise is a promise. And God will never take back His words. He wants to use you in a mighty way and show you the things of the supernatural. If you only dare to take a step forward and be geared up for the challenge at hand.
When you are down on your knees that’s when divine empowerment flows through you. And when you spend hours communicating with the Lord that’s when He will reveal his plans in a supernatural way. Perseverance is the key to get access into the spiritual realm. Perseverance is all about praying until something happens. In the end when things are finally revealed and your prayers are answered, you will see the fruit of your labour bearing fruit. Nothing is too difficult when you really have a heart for it. Just ask for it and you shall receive it.
