The 3rd edition of Summer Sprint Challenge – an annual racing event organized by the local club Route 29 – has been scheduled for a 10 am flag off on September 24 next at Agri Expo site, 4th Mile, Dimapur. The event will continue till September 26 next.
Addressing a press conference here today, the organizers informed that this year’s edition will be open to participants from all over the country, unlike the previous years when it was limited only to the northeast states. Scrutiny of the vehicles and documents will be done on September 23.All the participants have been asked to produce valid documents, including “third party insurance” proof. For participants from outside Nagaland, the organizers will provide free accommodation at the NEZCC guest house.
On September 23, the organizers will accept on-the-spot registration, it was informed. As precaution, a medical unit with trauma vehicles from the CIHSSR Dimapur will be at hand, in case of any accidents.
The event will have two separate competitions – 4-wheelers and 2-wheelers. The 4-wheelers category has been further divided into three sub-categories – SUV, above 1000 cc and below 1000 cc.
The sponsors of the event are AIDA Honda and the 6th sector of the Assam Rifles.
