Mokokchung, July 1 (EMN): Summer Badminton Coaching organised by Badminton Association Khensa under the initiative of Directorate of Youth Resources & Sports, Kohima from June 13 to 30 culminated successfully at the Multipurpose Community Hall, Khensa, on Friday.
T. Imtisungit Ao, Badminton Coach in his conclusion and finding, remarked that 97 participants starting from U-10 and above attended the camp with 77 participants from boys and 20 girls.
He also noted that it was one of the highest participants in his coaching career and expressed hope that they are some among the participants who have the calibre to bring laurels to the state within a span of few years.
In this regard, he urged the parents to identify the calling and talents of their children and maintain time management for their kid's in-order to nurture their talents.
"Sacrifice from the parents is needed to nurture their talents and skills...in return you will get positive outcome," Ao stated.
Also, state Badminton Coach Tali Jamir in his closing remark asserted that champions are not born but they are made and to produce champions it needs time and efforts for years from all sides.
He also challenged the parents to have a boarder outlook toward sports while saying that sports are a multi-billion industry sector in monetary terms where it brings not only laurels but wealth as well.
Tali further maintained that Badminton is an individual game where personality developments are mould up alone excelling their skills. He also asserted in badminton the culmination is an opening of new chapter for the players.
In this connection, he suggested the organiser to organise a winter tourney to test the result of this 16-day summer coaching camp.
The Khensa village council Chairman, Y Chuba Longchar also encouraged the budding badminton players to be punctual and disciplined in their life to make a difference for others.
