The 6th biennial conference of the Sümi Baptist Theological Association (SBTA) was organized on the theme “Overcoming Prejudices” recently. More than 300 theological students and Christian workers attended the three day conference from May 16 to the 18th. The event was hosted by Mishili Yepaqa Baptist Church of Pughoboto.
The conference also selected a new team of office bearers for the 7th biennial conference to be hosted by SBAK in May 2016. The new team is led by Rev. Hukugha, pastor of Satakha TBC as president and Ruvi Chishi, office coordinator as general secretary. Other officials include 6 executive committee members and 3 advisory board members who will guide the new team.
Outgoing president Rev. Kiyeto G Sema thanked all who contributed in cash, kind and support for the success of the conference.
Meanwhile, the change of guard will be held on June 11 at the association’s headquarters in TTC campus from 12:00 noon. Both outgoing and incoming office bearers of the association are requested to attend the meeting.
