Kohima, July 26 (EMN): Subdued rainfall is expected to continue over most parts of Nagaland till July 28 before increasing thereafter; however, heavy rain is not expected, forecast Skymet Weather on Monday afternoon.
According to the forecast by the firm, light to moderate rains may occur over many parts of the state between July 29 and August 1. It added that light to moderate rains might take place in many parts of the state till Monday night or early morning of Tuesday.
There is low pressure developing in the North of Bay of Bengal by Tuesday and will move inland towards Jharkhand leading to decrease of Rain in Northeast India including Nagaland, according to Skymet Weather.
‘There may be some increase in rain in many parts of the state from July 29 to the 31st' but it will not be heavy from July 31 to August 1, it stated.
Meanwhile, it maintained that there will be a marginal increase in rain activities with chances of showers over certain parts of the state, particularly in Peren, Dimapur, Kohima, Phek, Zunheboto, Wokha and Tuensang districts. Mokochung, Mon and Longleng districts are expected to get only light rain, it added.
It forecast temperature in the state capital, Kohima to be around 26°-28° maximum and 18°-19° minimum, while Dimapur and other low-laying areas are expected to experience a slightly higher temperature around 32°-34° maximum with high humidity and minimum temperature of 24°-25° but could increase to 26°.
It stated that most parts of the state will experience maximum temperature of 28°-29° or 30° with a minimum of 21°-22° or 23°.
It went on to inform that night and morning hours during this period will be cool and comfortable while day will be humid and warm.
