Dimapur, Nov. 27 (EMN): To cater basic health facilities to the local populace, a sub-centre was inaugurated at the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) Mission Compound at T Chikri in Pfütsero by Dr. Vikeyie Losu, principal director of Health and Family Welfare, on November 27.
In his inaugural speech, Dr. Vikeyie Losu expressed his happiness for being able to set-up a health facility at the Mission Compound, which he said, reminded him of the medical mission started by the pioneer missionaries in India. He also expressed gratitude to the medical minister for approving the project to extend basic healthcare to the community, an update from Rev. Khrotso Mero, CBCC executive secretary stated on Wednesday.
Earlier, word of welcome and appreciation was delivered by Rev. Khrotso Mero. A host of church leaders, public leaders and the concerned medical authority and officials of Phek district were present during the inaugural programme.
