
Dimapur, Jan. 7 (EMN): Minister of Soil and Water Conservation, Geology and Mining, and NSMDC, V Kashiho Sangtam has insisted on pursuing quality stating that it is the only gateway for a prosperous future. He added that the future would belong to those are well prepared today.
Speaking as a special guest during the 25th anniversary of Longmatra Area Students’ Union (LASU) at Longmatra town on January 7, Kashiho encouraged the students to pursue their education with diligence saying, “We are in a competitive world, where hard working, dedication and sincerity should be practiced for a successful future.” He also encouraged the student community to be self disciplined and be a role model for the transformation of the society adding that there is no short cut for success.
Kashiho added that jubilee celebration is not only a time to introspect and retrospect but also look out for improvement itself in the weaker areas. With the jubilee celebration he hoped that LASU would have competitive mindset by rededicating themselves and be a torch bearer in transforming the society.
The dedicatory prayer of the monolith was said by Rev. T Tsangkhuchu, former executive secretary of USBLA, while the unveiling of monolith was done by the minister.
The programme was compared by Tethsomong and Tsosingthsi, while the invocation was pronounced by Rev. Litongri, pastor of New Longmatra B/ Lithro. Solidarity speech was delivered by the USSC general secretary and Z Tsangkhuchu, retired assistant director.
