Dimapur, May 11 (EMN): Nagaland Governor PB Acharya believes entrepreneurship to be an area where youths of the state can prosper considering that employment opportunities in the government is 'saturated' and employment there is fewer than it used to be.
'Nagaland has a large number of educated youths and the government service sector had reached a saturation point,' he said. 'Entrepreneurship is the only way to employ the youth of the state.'
The governor gave the statement in his address to the 21st "parting social" of the Naga Students’ Union on May 11 at Dheradun. Raj Bhavan issued a press release on Sunday offering updates about the event.
In his address to the students, the governor encouraged the students to take up skill courses "in their academic curriculum," the updates stated. Likewise, he urged them to 'embrace work culture' and be positive in their entrepreneurship ventures.
Also, Acharya urged the students to continue working hard and pursue their goals not only to achieve them but empower themselves with knowledge. He encouraged the students to be game changers and be socially accountable.
'When they come out, (students) must be an asset to the society and be employable,' he was quoted as having told the gathering. Stating that education was not 'a disease' but the solution, he encouraged the students to complete their studies and work to develop their community and society, the updates added.
